What’s cookin’?

It was my first time to cook pork giniling earlier. I even consulted my sister and google(of course!) for recipes. In the end, I combined what my sister said and what I have seen on a website and it all went out a success! I didn’t expect it to be almost finished by my housemates and friends! I know it is not perfect but I can say that it’s a good start with cooking… I just hope I won’t gain much weight again pretty soon!

Special

Ano nga ba ang ibig sabihin kapag sinabing ’special’? Is it something more than the ordinary? Or is it something that makes something ordinary to look like its more than that? Halimbawa na lang, special na siopao, or special na pancit bihon. Anong difference niya sa ibang siopao or pancit? Sa timpla ba? O sa sahog? Sa mga kaibigan din, me mga special friends tayo. Hindi naman ibig sabihin lang yung mga friends natin na me special needs. Meron tayong mga tinuturing na special friends. Either a bestfriend, friends with benefits or kung ano man yun na tawagin. Sinasabi natin minsan “special ka sakin eh!” pero ano nga ba ang gusto natin sabihin?
Madaming pwedeng ibig sabihin ang salitang special. Nasa paggamit na lang natin. So the next time you hear somebody telling you that its something special or you are special, try asking them, “how did it become special? ”

Movie Marathon

Went out this morning for the Sunday Mass and decided to go straight to Pavilion to watch a movie. At first, I really can’t decide in between District 9 and I love you Beth Cooper. Watched the Beth Cooper First and then District 9. Yeah, like a movie marathon. Well I dont usually do this so I went for it. The Beth Cooper Movie is cool. Good lauch and romance. Hayden Panettiere is really hot. Cutie hot, I guess. The other guy, though, looked like a total jerk. Well, they did portrait a typical smartass dude so credits goes to them. After the movie, went out and queued again for the next one, District 9. Sadly, the 2:00pm is fully booked so I didn’t have any choice but to get the 4:15pm movie. Had time for a snack at Old town. I guess I overdid ’snack’ by having 2 set of  soft-boiled eggs and a kaya sandwich. It was good though. So then after that went for the District 9. Sci-Fi-Alien Kind-of Movie. It was also cool. Though honestly after that, I didn’t have enough satisfaction. For both movie. And no, I didn’t go for a third one. Just went home instead and now im posting this.

Last saturday was Ann’s birthday and he invited us all to go to this shop infront of Sunway Pyramid. It’s a Chinese Steamboat resto and take note, its eat all you can!!! Though the place is jam-packed and we had to wait for half an hour to get seated, it was well worth it! Hoping to go there again soon!

2 months na mula nung umuwi ako pero parang ngayon pa lang ako nakakaramdam ng homesick. anjan ung pag tumitingin ako sa pic eh bigla na lang ako maluluha… hayyyyzzzz, buhay nga naman… well, ganun talaga.
